Positive: Great location for visiting Peak District region. Nice farm setting. Key safe check in. Owners were quick to respond to messages and very helpful.

Negative: There are several properties on the site. Whilst not a problem, and not intrusive, it wasn't quite as 'set apart' as I'd thought it might be, I'd definitely still recommend Amber Cabin, but you will have neighbours. Check in at 3pm might have been better, but appreciate it's due to change overs.

Positive: Very good log cabin - spacious and well equipped. Everything worked. Quiet with lovely views. Excellent shower ** Good sized fridge/freezer. Plenty of storage space in kitchen. Many birds to listen to outside while having coffee on patio.

Negative: Hard to fault for what it is. The wall mounted television wasn't level ? ** Normal complaint that neither bath or shower had grab rails for us doddery old folk and young 'uns with bad backs! ( Wierd window between en-suites )

Summary: Perfect for our weekend stay while attending the 2026 Imp National in Chesterfield.

Positive: Location of the Cabin was fantastic. Great views.. Cabin was confortable and clean . Nice bathrooms and bedrooms. Good for access to many places of interest

Negative: We were there during the June heat wave, but there was no outdoor umberella I could find . Also outdoor furniture was well used and a bit jaded. I dont think the chairs would of stood up to much wear and tear. Didnt meet the staff in person hence the score . Howevervthey responded quickly to enquiries.

Positive: We had the most amazing long weekend getaway. The place was absolutely stunning, the cabin was next level cozy and beautiful, and being surrounded by pure nature felt like a full reset for the soul. Morning coffee with that view? Unreal. Peace, fresh air, birds singing instead of alarms… honestly couldn’t have asked for a better escape. Already dreaming about coming back.

Positive: Easy to find, key collection no problem, warm clean and tidy all the implements you would need in a kitchen.

Negative: Bedside lights in smaller bedroom very fiddly to turn on and off ended up doing it at the plug as it was easier.

Positive: The cabin is very well equipped and spacious. The shower in the ensuite near the living room was amazing, super powerful. 2 ensuites is brilliant. The bifold doors are a lovely feature, unfortunately in April it wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy having them open. But with the peaceful setting which the cabin is in, it would be lovely to enjoy, and outside seating is provided! It was nice to have a comfortable sofa to sit on. And my son enjoyed the arm chair with foot rest! The log burner is also lovely. We used it a couple of times. Having curtains at the windows and doors made it feel more cosy. Plenty of plugs in the bedrooms, and plugs near mirrors is priceless! The cabin is located not far from Matlock and Bakewell. And also Chatsworth House.

Negative: Very little not to like, the biggest downside is the 10am check out. Even 11am would have been better. A couple of other minor things are, although there's curtains or blinds at the windows and rear doors, one at the front door would have been a good touch. Just keeps the hallway cosy. The mattress is a little hard, but that's not necessarily a problem for others, a very personal thing. Although the price was a little high, it was still a lovely place to stay.
